JESSICA HALE

REGISTERED MASSAGE THERAPIST

EXPERIENCE

Jessica completed the Registered Massage Therapy program at West Coast College of Massage Therapy in August 2019.  During her studies, she worked as a bodyworker at The Body Mechanics Massage Therapy located in Delta; she then continued to work there as a Registered Massage Therapist after completion of the program. In March of 2020, Jessica decided to expand her clinical exposure and continued her practice in the Langley area.

Jessica’s practice involves working with a variety of conditions, which includes but not limited to: pre- and post-natal, chronic pain, soft tissue injuries, sports related injuries, neurological conditions, and general day to day tension. By adopting a biopsychosocial approach, Jessica aims to provide patient-centered care for each individual who entrusts her with their wellness journey. This perspective places an emphasis on patients' concerns and takes into consideration the different life stages an individual may be facing - which aids in tailoring a treatment plan.

Her time as an RMT has kept her continuously fascinated by the human body. This admiration in anatomy motivates her to pursue continuing education to further her understanding of how and why pain occurs. She is currently focused on advancing her knowledge on pre and post natal massage, high-risk pregnancies, chronic pain, and expanding her knowledge in pain science. As an active member of the Manual Movement Therapists Community led by Eric Purves, her aim is to be inclusive, open minded, evidence based, and to step away from the typical pain-causing narratives. Jessica’s goal is to treat “you”!

LIFESTYLE

Driven by her true motivation - Family, Jessica decided to move her practice full time in Langley which brought her closer to her hometown, family, friends and a new baby.

When not at work, you can find Jessica either incorporating movement into her life through dancing, hiking, and walking or at home relaxing with her family in front of a good game, book, or craft. Jessica believes that balancing your lifestyle with different activities that express movement and creativity are vital to maintaining mind and body health. Important values that she carries into the treatment room are kindness, compassion, communication, and honesty.
